It's November, and all of our attention is starting to move on to the holidays coming. The kids are thinking about what to put on their Christmas list, and I am thinking about what kind of holiday we are going to have this year. The year 2020 has certainly been a strange year, but I am determined to make this holiday a great one. Whether we are able to see family and friends is uncertain, but we will still continue to create holiday memories and traditions.
One of the top things we think about with Christmas is all the yummy food and drink. When I think about my childhood Christmas memories, it always included having Hood Eggnog. The taste and the smell bring me right back to holidays as a kid. This year, I am going to bring Hood Eggnog into my kid's Christmas memories with some wonderful recipes.
This delicious Eggnog Cinnamon Walnut Streusel Coffee Cake is a perfect Christmas morning breakfast for the family. The creamy Hood Golden Eggnog makes the coffee cake so rich and full of flavor. I followed the recipe on the Hood website, just substituting the Golden Eggnog for the Vanilla Eggnog. It came out so good! My family was gobbling it up as soon as I got it out of the pan. It was one of the best coffee cakes I have ever had. This cake could be used as a delicious breakfast along with a cup of coffee, or as a dessert to have after Christmas dinner. Whatever way it is used, it will definitely be on my table for my family to enjoy together as we create Christmas memories. I love that I can use the same Hood Eggnog that I loved as a kid, in recipes for my own children.
This holiday season, you can round up the family to watch Boston Ballet's "The Nutcracker: At Home for the Holidays." Due to COVID, the Boston Ballet will not be able to perform for their normally large, in-person holiday audiences. For the first time, Boston Ballet is broadcasting the production of "The Nutcracker" in partnership with NBC/Universal on their three stations in the region (NBC, Telemundo, and NECN) as well as Comcast On-Demand throughout the holiday season.
Every family in the region will have free access to the 60-minute “Nutcracker Suite” favorite holiday classic.
-11/28 at 7 pm premiere on NBC Boston
-11/29 at 7 pm on NECN
-12/5 at 11 am on Telemundo
So, grab some Hood Eggnog and a cozy blanket, and cuddle up with the family and create some holiday memories!
