Hood Eggnog : Bringing Families Together During the Holidays

By Julee Holland, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Southern RI December 11, 2020

I find that it's the simple things that remind me of family around the holidays. Hood Eggnog is most definitely one of those things. Rich, creamy, and delicious, this holiday treat is the perfect reminder of how meaningful family togetherness is during these difficult times. Many Christmas traditions may need to be altered this year, but Hood Eggnog remains a constant within our family, although we may be separated from our loved ones, and still provides the holiday spirit and Christmas cheer that is necessary to bring us together even though we are apart.

You and your family can enjoy WBUR’s 16th Annual Reading of “A Christmas Carol” Virtual Event, which will be happening on Friday, December 18th. This event is planned to be broadcast over Facebook Live and YouTube, allowing for unlimited event attendance in 2020. Join the hosts from WBUR as they read Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” The story, divided into five parts as edited by Dickens for public readings, will be separated by carols sung by one of Boston’s local choirs. Tickets for this event benefit Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women and can be purchased here: www.wbur.org/events/633651/wbur-cityspace-christmas-carol .
