Colleges in Rhode Island

RI law does not allow you to be questioned on your religious beliefs

By Health Choice Rhode Island June 24, 2021

Multiple different colleges in Rhode Island have stated that the vaccine for Covid 19 is required for attendance this coming fall.

FDA regulations state that no product or procedure can be required that is in trials and experimental. Colleges should not be requiring a vaccine that is not yet fully approved and gone through all testing, they definitely should not be trying to infringe on religious rights in RI.

Colleges are trying to state that you must submit a separate religious exemption form just for Covid 19 vaccine and this form questions your belief system and references a clergy member. This is against RI law and subject to legal action if attempted to be enforced. No student needs to use the college created form. Parents are encouraged to remind the school administrators that is not against RI law to require answers to questions of religious belief, and it is against federal regulations to require or coerce an experimental medical procedure. Nuremberg code of ethics also states that no one should be forced or coerced to participate in a medical experiment.

Parents are strongly encouraged to not use their newly created form and to contact the Attorney General's office and the state Governors office to report these actions by the colleges.

Willingly participating vs being coerced is a big difference. Your rights matter. Religious freedom matters.

To find current legislation in RI to help stop this kind of action, and make it so you can not be discriminated against for your choice. H5989 bill is at 2021.HealthChoiceRI.org
