EWG Youth Track is BACK

This year in 2021 there will only be two weeks on track running. Tuesdays in August.

"Summer track meets are FREE for all kids ages 4 - 14

Our mission is to promote sportsmanship, self-confidence, and FUN!"  is the headline from their website.

Both my children have done this event at the EWG track located behind the high school. Before participating in this event we participated in the one held in Narragansett at their track and field (there is one more meet left next Monday in the Narragansett summer series Click Here). Both of my children have enjoyed getting to run off energy while being surrounded with many other children and enjoying the evening. The events do get cancelled with bad weather, and many times without a rain date. Here is to all the good vibes in the weather for these two nights at the high school in EWG to hold out for a great experience for all the children.

This is a great relaxing event that is fun for the whole family to enjoy. I truly hope to have great weather, and see you there! My daughter and I will attend both of the Tuesday track meets this summer. They still need help too. Anyone over 14 yrs old can volunteer and help out at the track meet. Be sure to contact them about being interested in volunteering VOLUNTEERS (ewgsummertrack.org)

This picture is one from the website and my daughter is in the race from about six years ago.

See you there!
