As the weather warms, we are hard at work getting the Gilbert Stuart Birthplace ready for all of our 2025 visitors! We are preparing a celebration of the best of all things Rhode Island, including the Grand Opening of our inaugural Gilbert Stuart Portraiture Prize.
Festivities include:
Live folk music by Farm Dog
Appearance by Gilbert Stuart
Fresh Jonny Cakes
Milling fresh white cap flint corn on site
Fish & Eel run
The Narrow River Land Trust
Rhode Island DEM
Family trail walks with Jeanine Silversmith, author of The Rhode Island Family Hiking Guide and Journal
Demonstrations of Spinning and Weaving
Soil Testing with the Rhode Island Master Gardeners
Scavenger Hunts
Art and Craft projects for the Whole Family
