Nature camps provide opportunities for children to explore and learn about the natural world. They can discover different plants, animals, ecosystems, and geological features, fostering a sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature.
By spending time in nature, children develop a deeper understanding of the environment and the importance of conservation.

Joyce's Jungle Growing Gardeners
June 24,25,26 9 am-Noon
Joyce’s Jungle Growing Gardeners Digging in the soil can be so fun, but it can also be a sign of a Growing Gardener! Campers will learn how a garden is grown and plant their own to take home. Each camper will also help plant the center’s gardens to support the local wildlife. Games, crafts, and nature walks will enhance the learning experience for all. Please plan for the weather. Pack a water bottle and snacks to enjoy while at camp.

Bug Camp and More!
June 24,25,26 1pm-4pm
Ever wonder how the little creatures we see in nature start out? We will learn all about the journeys taken by butterflies, lady bugs and more! Live specimens and activities will enhance this camp! We will travel to the pond and collect some specimens, then explore the trails searching for evidence of nature’s little friends. Dress to make a mess! Sneakers are required every day of camp and water shoes/flip flops or change of shoes are needed for the pond! Please plan for the weather. Pack a water and snack to enjoy while at camp.

Preschool Joyce’s Jungle!
July 8,9,10 9 am-Noon
Join us for a fun packed mini-camp with all the friends from Joyce’s Jungle. From scales to tails, and fluff and fur, each day will be filled with hands-on animal time. Explore the pond’s edge for some local friends, as well as on the trails. Everyone will create animal crafts to enhance the animal experience! Dress to make a mess! Sneakers are required every day of camp! Water shoes or a change of shoes are needed on pond day. Please plan for the weather. Pack a water and snack to enjoy while at camp.

Creature Crafts
July 8,9,10 1pm-4pm
Animals inspire us in so many ways; one awesome way is through our art! This camp will truly be animal-inspired as we create crafts and artwork for and with them! The friends of Joyce’s Jungle and the Nature Center will inspire us daily! We will also enjoy walks on the trails, snacking and playing outside, letting nature inspire us in all we do! Dress to make a mess! Snacks and water bottles are needed every day.

Joyce’s Jungle Preschool Dino Camp!
July 15, 16, 17 9am-Noon
What creature was taller than a house and longer than a school bus? A dinosaur! Come and “dig up” some fun facts on these prehistoric animals. Make your own dino eggs, search for fossils, and pretend play! Each day will be packed with fun, facts and fossils! Dress to make a mess! Sneakers are required every day of camp! We will explore outside, weather permitting. Snacks and water are needed every day of camp.

Joyce’s Jungle Path to Nature
July 15, 16, 17 1pm-4pm
Connecting with nature calms us all. This nature camp will explore all around the Tri Pond Park Nature Center. From the hidden nature trails to the pond’s edge, we will relax and be inspired by what we find all around us. Each camper will be able to create something to enhance our trails as well as their own backyard! We will also help in the planting of the centers gardens to help enhance for the local wildlife. Games, crafts and nature walks will enhance the learning experience for all. Please plan for the weather. Pack a water and snack to enjoy while at camp.

Do you like animals? Do you ever wonder how doctors and others take care of animals? Then come and learn at camp! Practice listening to heartbeats and more with some cool hands-on activities with live animals from Joyce’s Jungle. Games, crafts and a walking field trip will enhance the learning experience for all. Please plan for the weather. If restrictions allow, we will meet some local animal helpers and see what it is like to help our little friends.

Curious about the natural world around us? Have you wondered about the clouds, maybe rocks or trees? Join in exploring the Tri Pond Park and discover all she has to offer! Welcome to the Jungle! If your child loves animals, this is the camp for them. Campers will explore Tri-Pond Park’s trails and pond edge, meeting animal friends each day and doing related crafts and activities. Sneakers are required, and water shoes or a change of shoes are needed for pond day. Don’t forget a water bottle, lunch, snack, and clothes to get messy!

Try a mini camp WITH your Preschooler!!
For ages 0-7 and their adult!
Joyce’s Jungle Side Kicks Camp is a special one-day mini-camp for you and your little one! Summer camp you both will love! Each day will run almost like one of our summer camps, filled with crafts, games, and, weather permitting, exploring walks too! Choose one, two, or maybe all of them! Space is limited, so please register early! Pack a small snack and water, and have your mini camper wear sneakers. This is a single-day mini-camp for both child/adult pairs. We kindly ask that all children register for this mini camp and that no “tag-alongs” join us. Dress to make a mess!
