- Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge (South Kingstown): Peaceful trails with great birdwatching and coastal pond views.
- Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge (Charlestown): Wide-open skies, salt ponds, and lots of wildlife. Great for walking and biking.
- Canonchet Farm Trail (Narragansett): Easy trail with forest, stream, and some historic ruins.
- Burlingame State Park (Charlestown): Over 3,000 acres of forest and freshwater lake. Trails + campground.
π΄ Biking & Paddling
- South County Bike Path (William C. O'Neill Bike Path): 8 miles from Kingston to Narragansett. Paved, easy, and scenic.
- Kayaking/Paddleboarding:
- Salt Pond (Charlestown/Narragansett): Calm water, good for beginners.
- Wood River (Exeter/Hope Valley): Great for a more adventurous paddle through forested areas.
- Pettaquamscutt (Narrow) River: Gorgeous paddle with views of historic houses and marshes.

- Wicked Tulips Flower Farm (Exeter): Pick-your-own tulips, photo ops everywhere, open April–early May.
- Kinney Azalea Gardens (Kingston): Beautiful, hidden gem with 500+ azalea varieties—blooms peak in May.

- Wilcox Park (Westerly): Gorgeous park right in the center of town—nice for strolling, reading, or an easy picnic.
